Responsibilities
- Teach English and support the children's language and academic development
- Assist with homework and schoolwork
- Collect the children from school together with the family driver
- Communicate with ISM regarding school progress, educational matters and formalities
- Organise age-appropriate educational activities, reading and games in English
- Work closely with the Italian Governor as part of the educational team
- Provide educational support to all four children when the older children are in Moscow
- Maintain a professional relationship with the family, school, driver and household team
Requirements
- Native English speaker
- University degree is essential
- Relevant teaching qualification is an advantage
- Proven experience as a Governor, Tutor, Teacher or Private Educator
- Experience with children aged 5–7
- Strong teaching and child development skills
- Experience with homework and academic support
- International school experience is an advantage
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Professional, reliable, discreet and team-oriented
- Excellent verifiable references
Conditions
- Location: Barvikha, Moscow Region
- Position: Native English Governor, live-out
- Main charges: Girl, 5; Boy, 7
- Older children study in London and return during school holidays
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 15:00–20:00
- Salary: From £1,200/week, negotiable
- Works alongside the family's Italian Governor; holiday hours are shared between the two Governors
- When the older children are in Moscow, the Governors work with all four children
- Paid annual leave: 9 days spring, 9 days autumn, 3–4 weeks summer, 2 weeks winter
- Educational role; no housekeeping duties
